Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This policy explains what information My Location Pincode collects when you use the site, why, and how you can control it.
Location data
The current-location feature is optional. It runs only after your browser prompts you and you grant permission. When you do, your device shares approximate geographic coordinates with us. We send those coordinates to a geocoding service solely to determine the matching area and PIN code, and we return the result to your browser.
We do not store your coordinates, associate them with your identity, or use them for advertising. If you deny the permission, you can still search and browse the directory normally.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure processes standard request logs — IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp — to serve pages, maintain security and diagnose problems. These logs are retained only for a limited period.
Cookies and analytics
My Location Pincode uses only the cookies and local storage needed for the site to function and to remember display preferences. If analytics are added in future, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated first.
Third-party services
We rely on a hosting provider to serve the site and a geocoding provider to convert coordinates into place names. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver the service.
Your choices
- Decline or revoke location permission at any time in your browser settings.
- Block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser.
- Contact us to ask what, if anything, we hold that relates to you.
Children
My Location Pincode is a general-audience reference tool and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the site evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Questions can be sent to mylocationpincode@gmail.com or via the contact page.
